In Bhutan, the 2nd of June holds a special place in the hearts of Bhutanese. It was on this significant day in 1974 that the Bhutanese nation rejoiced in the Coronation of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, marking a historic milestone in their history. Since 1985, the Coronation Day has been declared as Social Forestry Day, a day dedicated to promoting tree plantation and environmental awareness throughout the country.

On this auspicious occasion, Hotel Kaachi Grand, under the inspiring leadership of Sonam Tshering, the CEO, joined hands with its staff members to joyfully partake in a collective effort of planting flowers in and around the hotel area.

For us environmental stewardship is not just a buzzword but a core value ingrained in the hotel ethos. Under the visionary leadership of Sonam Tshering, the CEO, the hotel has consistently strived to contribute to Bhutan’s green initiatives. Embracing the spirit of Social Forestry Day, the entire staff of Hotel Kaachi Grand eagerly participated in a flower plantation drive, infusing their surroundings with vibrant hues and natural beauty.

As the day dawned, an infectious sense of enthusiasm permeated the air. The team members from all the departments, armed with gardening tools and saplings, came together with a shared purpose – to make a tangible difference in their immediate environment. With laughter and camaraderie, we immersed ourself in the act of planting flowers, infusing life and color into the hotel’s landscape.

Planting flowers carries deep symbolism for us, representing nature’s vital energy, the everlasting cycle of growth and rejuvenation, and the interconnectedness of all living beings.
