The Legacy of Aum Kaache: From Hospitality in a Small Village to the Hotel Kaachi Grand

The Legacy of Aum Kaache: From Hospitality in a Small Village to the Hotel Kaachi Grand Remembering Aum Kaache: The Woman Whose Hospitality Touched Hearts, and Whose Legacy Lives on Through Hotel Kaachi Grand Dechen Zam, also known as Aum Kaache, was a woman of humble beginnings but with a kind heart that touched everyone who knew her. Born on January 1st, 1938 in Shaba Drugyeldingkha, Paro, Bhutan, she grew up to become a loving wife to Rabjam Thinley, with whom she had four children – Pem Zam, Euden, Tshering, and Karma Dem.   Aum Kaache was known throughout her village for her exceptional cooking skills and love for serving food to others. She was always inviting neighbors and passersby into her home for a cup of tea or a meal, and no one left without feeling the warmth of her hospitality. Her house was like a gate to the village, as everyone had to pass by it to enter or exit.   Despite facing hardships in life, Aum Kaache managed to raise her children and keep her family together through her unwavering belief in Fate and prayers. She inherited agricultural land to support her family’s livelihood and made sure that her siblings were educated, even though she could only send the youngest, Karma Dem, to school.   Aum Kaache’s life was sustained by cash crops and domestic animals. She believed in using her earnings for good deeds and religious activities, and regretted taking the lives of animals for livelihood. Aum Kaache’s passing in 2013 was a great loss to her family, friends, and community. Her sense of humor, kindness, and generosity touched the lives of many, and she left behind a legacy of love and compassion that will never be forgotten.   Although Aum Kaache is no longer with us, her legacy lives on through the Hotel Kaachi Grand. This hotel has been established in honor of her memory and is a testament to the love and warmth that she shared with everyone she met. Guests who will be staying in this hotel will be able to experience the same hospitality and kindness that Aum Kaache was known for. Aum Kaache’s story is a reminder of the impact that a single person can have on the world. Her life was not defined by material possessions or wealth, but by her love for others and her unwavering commitment to doing good. Her legacy serves as an inspiration for us all to live with kindness, generosity, and love in our hearts.
